I met with the school director at the Korean Language School in Seoul, Korea. She was very professional
and nice, and like many Korean women she was very reserved. I was greeted and
offered something to drink. We met in
the lobby of the school at 2pm. I was not able to see any classes in session
but the school director and I were able to discuss the most commonly asked questions sheet
to make sure the information was up to date. My mother, who is Korean, was with
me and was able to translate and clarify many of my questions.

AmeriSpan just sent me on a tour of Spain! Although there was a lot of work to be done, I had an excellent time and a lot of fun. While there, I visited 10 of our Spanish schools in Spain, starting first in Salamanca, then to Madrid and ending in Barcelona. I also visited our Spain College Study Abroad programs.
I arrived exhausted in Salamanca from a night of flying, but quickly found the energy to start exploring. It is a beautiful city with all the ancient sandstone architecture and windy cobble stone streets. Between meetings I got to stroll around town, which is one of the favorite pastimes for everyone who goes there. From Salamanca I was off to Madrid, where the city buzzed around me until I was literally buzzing through the city on my first motorcycle ride!

Mother’s Day will be celebrated this Sunday, May 9, in the United States. The 2nd Sunday in May is a very popular date worldwide for people to honor their mothers, but it is not the same in every country! Many Mother's Day celebrations also coincide with International Women's Day, March 8th. We thought it would be fun to find out how to say Happy Mother’s Day in the languages that AmeriSpan offers programs in, as well as when people celebrate this holiday around the world.
Spanish: Feliz Día de la madre
Mother's day is celebrated in Spain on the 1st Sunday in May. Mexico and Guatemala celebrate on May 10th. Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela honor their mothers on the 2nd Sunday of May. Bolivian Mother's Day takes place on May 27. Dominican Republic and Nicaragua partake in the festivities on the last Sunday in May. Costa Rica celebrates on August 15. Argentina's Mother's Day is on the 3rd Sunday in October.
